It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! AHH….I’m so excited! This holiday is my favorite time of year, and I always love getting to decorate my home with all sorts of festive decorations.

Now….I get that decorating any space for the holidays can get a bit stressful. What center piece should I put? How do I decorate my foyer space? Should I go for red or gold?

All of these questions pop up around the end of November when people start whipping out their holiday trinkets or start shopping for cute pieces.

Luckily, decorating for the holidays can be super fun and special. It doesn’t have to get extremely expensive or dreadful.

There are always little décor ideas you can try that will spruce things up really easily without having to buy boxes and boxes of decorations.

Every year, there are ALWAYS a few ways that I decorate that immediately brighten up my house for the holidays.

I’m going to spill 10 amazing décor ideas that will make your home feel warmer, cozier, and ready for the holidays!

Christmas shopping….here we come!!

1. Kitchen Table Centerpiece

One of the easiest décor ideas you can incorporate this holiday season is a simple table centerpiece.

Whether it’s for a formal or informal table, having a festive and eye-catching décor piece at the center can immediately make the space feel warm.

I recommend investing in a good quality, long-lasting centerpiece that you’ll be able to use year after year. You don’t want to purchase a piece that is badly made just because it has a cheap price tag.

So…..splurging a bit on a nice centerpiece is the best thing you can do. By splurge, I don’t mean $100 bucks. There are amazing options that range anywhere from $30 to $70 depending on how large and complex the pieces are.

The options above are some of my favorite table centerpiece options that won’t break the bank!

2. Festive Bed or Couch Throw

Anyone who has a bed, couch, or chair in their living space NEEDS a festive throw.

These fluffy blanket-like bundles of goodness are an easy way to make your living area feel a bit more festive.

From checkered patterns all the way to fun reindeer prints, a throw is a super affordable and easy way to make your area look more colorful and ready for the holidays!

3. Holiday Pillows

What better way to watch holiday movies than laying your head down on festive pillows?

This is one of my favorite décor ideas because having couch pillows immediately brings some brightness to my kitchen and TV room area.

I’ve got every pillow you can think of: checkered, red, white, beige, EVERYTHING! I love to mix and match colors and styles to make the area as fun as possible.

The options above are fantastic pillow sets for any living room area of any style. You’ll find yourself filled with happiness and excitement every time you lay eyes on them!

4. Hanging Door Decorations

Get yourself some hanging door decorations! All you have to do is hang them up….literally takes 1 minute.

I think every door in my house has some sort of decoration hanging from it. Let me tell ya….it makes a difference!

My guest bathroom has some hanging bells that decorate the door for when I have people over. My bedroom door has a hanging stocking. The list goes on and on.

Hanging decorations are really easy ways to make your home feel festive without having to put much effort into designing or organizing décor.

The decoration pieces above are such cute ways to spruce up just about any door in your home.

5. Festive Garlands

Garland, garland, and more garland! You can wrap a garland around literally anything you want!

I’ve got garlands up on my fireplace, laced around my stairs, intertwined between foyer decorations!

Depending on which areas you want to decorate, one garland will can wrap a 9-foot area!

If you don’t have at least one garland, what are you waiting for?!

6. Holiday-Scented Candles

If you know me at all….you know I’m a scent girl! One of the best things I associate with the holidays are candle scents.

I’m obsessed with anything and everything apples, cinnamon, holiday spice, and vanilla. These smells just make me think of baking apple pies and decorating cinnamon gingerbread houses.

Even though candles are smaller items, there is no better way to give your home that festive kick than for it to smell like the holidays.

So many holiday candles not only look gorgeous on any countertop or table, but they fill the air with a cozy and nostalgic smell that makes you so excited for the holidays.

I’m not joking…I have a stash of 10-15 candles in my cupboard area just waiting to be lit and used. I always have backups because I love filling my home with warm, holiday smells.

If you want to get in the holiday mood, a candle is the first and easiest way to go!

7. Decorate with Stockings

I LOVE hanging up stockings on as many walls, doors, and fireplaces as I can!

Not only do these make for great gift-giving gadgets, but they make any and every space feel like festive goodness.

You can always go for a classic holiday style or even get your stocking personalized with your name! Either way, you can’t have the holidays without stockings!

8. Table Placemats

If you’re going to eat at your kitchen table, you might as well be enjoying your meal on some festive placemats! Am I right?

I love setting up my table with a nice centerpiece, placemats, and some festive plates as well.
It’s a great way to bring some color and attention towards your living area without being too obvious!

9. Holiday Plates

Let’s get one thing straight. I love food! I love trying new recipes and enjoying large meals with my family all together at the table.

BUT….what I love even MORE is serving up some yummy dishes on the most beautiful holiday plates you can think of.

Now, this doesn’t mean you have to go out and spend hundreds of dollars on huge sets of plates. Plastic will do just fine. I’ve got both options- glass and plastic- and they work amazing!

Whether you’ve decorated your table with some placemats or a holiday runner, holiday plates are a fantastic way to sprinkle some festivity here and there!

10. Mini Christmas Tree

Let’s be real. Who says you only have to have ONE Christmas tree during the holidays?

I certainly don’t. You don’t have to limit yourself to one tree either! Sprinkling some mini-Christmas trees here and there can make the space feel more festive.

Whether you buy it pre-decorated or you design it yourself, having mini trees in places like the kitchen, guest rooms, and master bedrooms can infuse holiday goodness into EVERY corner of your home.

Who wouldn’t want that?!

Now that you have the 10 best holiday décor ideas, it’s time to start sprucing up at home!

Whether or not you decide to go all out, there are always little ways here and there to make your home feel more festive for the holidays.

You can go for small trees and candles all the way to huge garlands and gorgeous centerpieces. Either way, decorating for the holidays is something you can and should enjoy.

It’s fun! It’s special! It’s an amazing time of the year!

Let’s enjoy it together and make sure the holiday vibes are in the air!

That being said….let’s get shopping for holidays!
