Being confident is such a powerful thing. It makes you feel unstoppable, like everything is possible. Unfortunately, confidence does not come naturally to everyone, including myself. I have worked on building my confidence for the past couple of years and I am very happy with how far I have come.
There are so many ways for you to build confidence, and it’s important you know some of them. It does take a bit of self-discipline, but it is very doable.
I’ve decided to share with all of you what has helped me in my journey to build confidence. Here are 7 easy ways to build confidence for success.

1. Dress to Impress Yourself
I think we can all agree that when we love our outfit, our makeup, and our hairstyles, we feel amazing. Don’t say no! I know you do! 😉
Pick out your favorite outfits and dress up like the powerful person that you are! Even if you do not feel confident in the moment. I am sure you have heard the saying “Fake it until you make it”!
It is one hundred percent true. I was doubtful at first, but your body language convinces your mind that you are confident.
2. Stop Comparing Yourself to Others
For the longest time, people have told me that the time I spend on Social media could cause me to feel self-conscious about my body or put too much pressure on myself for not having everything figured out. I do believe that is true in some way.
Every time we open the famous Instagram app, we are met with young adults who are traveling the world, hanging out with friends in their million-dollar houses, or updating their millions of followers on what they had for breakfast in their private resort.
What people don’t show on social media is their daily struggles. Someone explained social media to me a while ago as being a highlight reel. It all made sense. That is when I made the decision to start following “regular” people on Instagram.
Now when I scroll through my Instagram feed, I see people who are like me instead of an influencer’s photoshopped lifestyle. It has helped me tremendously. It is one of the best lifestyle changes to build confidence
3. Focus On Your Accomplishments
Take out a notebook and write down seven of your biggest accomplishments to date! Once you have written them down, put all the accomplishments in what I like to call “My success box’. Taking the time to acknowledge everything you have accomplished is amazing to build confidence.
Seeing them on a piece of paper will make you realize how many things you have actually done. It is also a great motivational tool. Every time you accomplish something, write it down on a piece of paper and add it to your success box!
When you feel down about yourself, open your box and read every single piece of paper.
4. Start Your Day Off with some Affirmations
Daily affirmations are positive statements to help you change the way you see yourself. It helps build your confidence and self-esteem.
Every morning stand in front of your mirror and say 3 statements. It can be anything as long as they are positive! Tell yourself how beautiful, smart and successful you are! Talk yourself up.
Be your biggest cheerleader. 💕 I can tell you right now that you are awesome!
5. Set Some Goals
Take a step back and look at the big picture. Think about what your biggest goal is. It can be anything. Whether your goal is to travel, buy a house, start a business, be healthy or even get to ten thousand views on your blog (yes that is my goal 😉), it is possible.
Do something every day that will get you closer to that goal. It can be small or big. Anything that you can do to reach that goal. Do it! It is such a good way for you to stay motivated for the future and build confidence for the long term.
You will be so thankful that you did when you reach that goal.
6. Surround Yourself with Positivity
Being positive is very important to build confidence and self-esteem. This can be a lot harder for some people. It is not easy to retrain your brain to think positively but trust me it can be done! I have found that surrounding myself with people who have a positive outlook is extremely helpful.
This is not something that can be done overnight, but it is such an important part in your journey to build confidence. Start with something small and build up from there.
I also have a little challenge for all of you. Every single time you have a negative thought about yourself, you have to name three things that you love about yourself.
7. Build Confidence for Success
The most important piece of advice that I have is for you to live your life to the fullest. The world has so many amazing opportunities. Don’t miss out on something because you feel like you are not “good enough”. I can guarantee that you are good enough.
The best way to build confidence is by taking a leap of faith and trying new things. I believe that confidence is the key to success as much as experiences are the key to confidence. So, go out there and try something new! Make memories and enjoy your life. Do not take it too seriously.
