Can you believe 2020 is coming to end in less than a month? It’s been a crazy year, and I know we’re all ready for a new start.
But let’s be honest….not all of 2020 has been awful.
Even in all the drama and chaos, lots of us have been able to find a source of fun in testing out new fashion and beauty products.
So many brands have launched new collections this year, and that means lots of makeup to try!
Don’t worry….not all beauty favorites have to be brand new products.
In this post, I’m going to list my top 10 makeup products of 2020.
Some of these will be products launched this year. Others will be tried and true favorites.
There is going to be something in here for every type of makeup lover: simplistic, over the top, full glam….all of it!
From foundations and powders all the way to palettes and lipsticks, you will definitely find a ride or die product on the list.

1. Covergirl Matte BB Cream

I have talked about this product several times in other blog posts but….WOW!
This has quickly become a holy grail bb cream for me.
Like I’ve mentioned before, I have VERY oily and acne-prone skin, so I can’t use thick and heavy liquid products.
That’s like asking to become an oil slick.
In any case, I’m not a heavy makeup wearer on a regular basis. I just like something light to even out any redness from acne.
This does exactly that.
It’s coverage is just enough to give me a natural, even look.

This is definitely the one face product I use most regularly, and I’ll always continue purchasing it as long as I live!

2. Maybelline Matte Lock Primer

Oh my gosh…..this is a life saver for oily skin.
This primer has the perfect pore-filling consistency and has never broken me out.
When I know I’m going to be wearing an actual foundation, this primer always goes on my skin first.
I’ve heard so many beauty Youtubers rave about this, and I definitely know why!
If you’ve got oily or combo skin, do yourself a favor and try this primer!

3. Coty Airspun Face Powder

I’ll be straight with you. I can’t live without this product.
No matter what type of makeup I’m doing, I always set my face with a translucent powder.
I don’t have to be putting on any foundation to use this product. You can pat some on top of bare skin or a simple bb or cc cream.
For those of us with oily or combo skin, patting some face powder in the t-zone is CRUCIAL for long-lasting makeup.
Trust me on this….no one wants to turn into an oily mess 20 minutes after doing their makeup.
This is an affordable item that will last you a lifetime thanks to how much product you get. I can’t imagine going through a whole tub of this thing in less than 6 months. Of course…that’s just me!

4. Covergirl Super Sizer Mascara

If you want a pigmented mascara, look no further!
The Super Sizer mascara from Covergirl is one of the best drugstore mascaras I’ve ever used.
Now, let me put a disclaimer out here. Mascara is a really picky makeup item for a lot of people. Each person’s eyelashes are a different length, thickness, and shape.
What works for me might be “meh” to you. That’s ok!
You’ve got to try it in order to know if you’ll like it.
I definitely recommend giving this one a go. It’s super black with a brush that separates and lengthens your lashes.
I normally love to alternate this mascara with the Better Than Sex mascara from Too Faced.
I’ll do a few layers of both to give thickness and volume to my lashes. The combo is fire!

5. Maybelline Fit Me Foundation

Did someone say holy grail?!
Oh my gosh! This foundation is amazing, especially for those of us with oily skin.
Paired with a good primer, this foundation makes my skin look so airbrushed and smooth.
I only need to use a little bit because the coverage on this is so good.
I truly believe any skin type can use this no matter what the bottle says.
Definitely give this one a shot!

6. NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream

I’m someone who hates the feeling of dry, dehydrated lips.
Traditional liquid lipsticks definitely don’t help with that.
Even though I don’t like the feel of a liquid lip, I still want my lip looks to last as long as possible.
I’ve been using these NYX soft matte lip creams for a long time now, and I am obsessed!
The formula is hydrating and creamy, yet long-lasting.
I don’t feel like my lips are about to fall off from dryness when I wear these. I have 3 or 4 different colors that I use for nude lip looks, and I can’t get enough of them.

7. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer

Let me introduce you to a makeup classic!
This concealer has been around for a long time, and there’s a reason why it’s one of the bestselling products on the market.
It’s pigmented. It’s full coverage. It comes in a million shades. It’s affordable. The packaging is practical.
Shall I go on?
I keep this concealer on top of my vanity area because I use it so darn often.
If you need a full coverage concealer that won’t break the bank, this is the definitely the option to go with.

8. L.A. Girl Neutrals Eyeshadow Palette

Everyone needs a basic neutrals eyeshadow palette in their collection.
You don’t have to do a full-glam look in order to make use of eyeshadows.
I usually use a palette like this even to give some depth to my crease when I only plan on wearing mascara or liner.
There are so many looks you can achieve with basic colors like this.
Definitely give this palette a go and experiment with all the looks you can do!

9. L’Oreal Infallible Lacquer Liner

I love me a good, dark, pigmented black liner, and this definitely does the trick.
Even though it’s in a pot form, I still find it super easy to use.
I’ve tried a bunch of pencil and twisty liners from the drugstore, but none have compared to the thick look I get with this.

10. Revlon Lip Mousse

I love this Revlon lip mousse. It’s easy to use, comes in a ton of colors, and isn’t too drying.
Usually, I’ll mix a bit of the mousse in with a gloss or Chapstick to give me a look with a bit more shine and moisture.
